Misogyny and sexism are common phenomena in society. That we are talking about jobs, in the family or even in the public space, you have a very high chance of encountering such situations. And you keep them to yourself. Because you feel ashamed to say certain things. Or because sometimes you are afraid that the things you say may have repercussions.
Unfortunately, this phenomenon is increasingly common in educational institutions as well. To be honest, I think it's always been there, but until recently we were afraid to talk about it. Big mistake. Because we have allowed a misogynistic attitude to perpetuate for years, generation after generation, that has sickened the system.
This campaign is for all people who have experienced the sexism of teachers. For all persons who have been discredited or threatened for refusing their advances.
Because we want an education system AT LEAST A LITTLE safer.
The Her Time team talked about the unpleasant experience they had.
